Dead comp is dead

My graphics card has kaput. My computer won't even turn on now (I'm on my laptop right now). I need an AGP card to replace it, but they are hard to find. I found one on newegg (slightly better than the one I have now) and it should be here about Wednesday.

Ahh, coincidence.

I had to reformat my second drive today because it's raid controller stopped responding, and obviously it contained only my whole steam folder.

Shit happens.

I wouldn't mind losing my steam folder. Ya, it would be a pain in the ass, but most of it can be redownloaded and resetting up my keys would only take a few minutes. The only thing lost would be my screen shots and game saves.

If I lost all of my source code (most of it's commited to source control) or school work or pictures or something, I'd be a little upset.

I just bought a 1TB external drive that should be here Monday though, so I can start regular backups finally.

Oh, ya, I mean I could stick my MX 420 in there if I didn't feel like doing anything on my comp.

It sounds like you just now realized that you bought a computer from American Megatrends... that isn't trendy, its just a dangerous motherboard...

My NForce 680 is laughing at you.

I get that screen too sometimes, but my motherboard is ASUS.
