I had some fun with PayPal the other day. Some guy on Reddit was launching his webhosting business, and offering free webhosting for a year for the first fifty people that responded so he could test his ordering system. He only needed one Pound to verify the system worked, and he would refund it after you submitted a ticket. Great deal, lots of guys were jumping on it, and I tried to, too.
Lo and behold, PayPal decided it was time to re-verify my identity. I've had my account since 1998, I'm verified and a trusted seller, but apparently my number was up. They caught me in the middle of a move, and wanted me to call them from a landline, or scan a current bill and a Photo ID with an address matching the address on the bill. My current address was a Starbucks with the U-Haul and all my possessions parked outside, my phone was my cell, and everybody and their brother was jumping on that deal. I raged.
