DONT BUY ITEMS!
#1

Seriously why would people spend 60 dollars on max's head and such WHEN THEY HAVE GOOD HATS THEMSELVES!

Look at my backpack, I only bought a rocket jumper because I wanted a mann co cap and a sticky jumper because I wanted to contribute to Valve.

Now stop buying bill's hat, earbuds and such.

I am very proposed for those hats to have an orange name color until traded.

So, your message is" Dont buy shit from Valve...except the shit I bought...cause thats ok"

Might have wanted to leave those details out so that your post did not come across as ridiculous as it did... Your fear is that the market with saturate with your 'favorite' items thus reducing their value. Unless items are removed from the market permanantly, it cant be prevented.

Actually no.
My message is: Don't buy shit from people that ARENT valve, and I my favourite items will be traded for anyone so the money doesn't get involved in it.

I mean: Paying some random person who traded himself a sam and max hat 60 dollars so he can buy magazines with sexually attractive women?
And values of items will not decrease because they are limited.
The amount of those items will NOT increase (maybe some people will even discard them for some evil reason), while the value of other things like poly hats will decrease because they can be and will be crafted.

Just don't buy a hat for money when you can easily play a couple of hours, make some refined and some poly hats, trade those for earbuds/lumcricous lids/max's severed head, then you REALLY deserved them.

Buying them from others is an easy way to victory.
Buying items from the store is okay, because items from the store are
1: Untradable
2: Unlimited
3: And therefore, worth nothing.

After LF lost his primary account he was happy to buy all the weapons, which he deserved.

I bought a sticky jumper and rocket jumper because
1: The weapons are hard the craft
2: Same 3 reasons above
3: I deserve it, because I bought craploads of Valve games and even an orange box with an extra portal and tf2 I couldn't use (could buy it on a second account but for some reason, I didn't).

However, I'm still against the polycount bonuses because that makes the hats overpowered.
I had a poly pack battle against someone who DID own the milkman, and he killed me with around 5 hp left. I would've won if it wasn't for the hat.

And that is how I rescued the inhabitants of Indonesia.

Why the fuck do you care about what people do with their money? If they want to buy a hat from somebody who cares.

You "deserved" those items? Guess what- you have now joined the ranks of all the shit-heads who buy items. gj

After re-reading OPs post. I think the overall point/feel he is trying to convey is "why spend xx.xx on hats when you could do this to get them" instead. It appears to be simple genuine advice to save people $$.

However, I doubt that there is not some sort of chip on his shoulder that others have the available capital to spend on hats and he doesnt, thus he is trying to change the overall hat market mentality.

Each person is different, thus the value of said items as well as the amount of disposable captial will be different to each.

While I could never bring myself to spend cash on hats (in that manner), I do buy 2-4 keys a week to play with crates. I think I like the gamble associated with it...
