Yea, my last weapon used/lastinv is usually my secondary weapon. (unless I'm playing spy)
I was thinking about using a script that would alias one key to switch between primary/secondary and another key to switch between primary/melee... But it still wouldn't work because all of the "slot#" keys are disabled until a vote has been cast, right?
Something like:

alias ps1 "slot2;wait;alias ps ps2"
alias ps2 "slot1;wait;alias ps ps1"
alias ps ps1
//Primary-Melee
alias pm1 "slot3;wait;alias pm pm2"

it's not the number keys but rather size that distracts me.
resize it plz.

what about those of us who use fast weapon switch so i can can change to all of my weapons just as fast as you can to your hotswap? if you turn on fast weapon switch there is absolutly no need for the hot swap at all. however the skip map vote still gets in the way. i don't think its in any dire need of change like turning crits off on arena is :evil: but still a pain in the ass

Don't feel stupid, it was late and I wasn't completely clear.
And yeah, Biggs was right, I was referring to DF's post. It always seems that the pop-up happens right when I'm about backstab someone or stuck in a hornet's nest
