If they wanted to show us what Crysis was all about, they'd be using PNG files to show off the graphics at the best quality possible at a low size. JPEG is dead to me.

Nah JPEG is still great, it compresses the image nicely. It's just the quality you set the compression that could make it look like shit.

The top image is in PNG format and the bottom is a JPEG with lossless compression. The images are near identical in every way, yet one is half the size than the other.

Also props to LMA's troll for rendering it as a .jpg first and then using the worst rendering of a .png I have ever seen. I got that .png down to 1.7 megabytes without even trying.
Edit: Aperantly the artifacting I saw that led me to believe that it was a .jpg first was the game's rendering engine. That .png file is still horifically large, though.
