I just got back from a Dimmu Borgir concert. I got knocked out and punched in the balls, but that is what the mosh pit does, it waits until they tell you to put up your metal horns and then it knocks you out and punches you in the balls.
Behemoth was pretty good, too. The opening band reminded me drastically of background movie for a pro-wrestler-cop-movie, or die hard, though.

Nothing is wrong with the movie, but when a "metal band" sounds like background music, than there IS something wrong. (I hate movie soundtracks, they are always repetitive)

dude Dimmu Borgir is kickass live. Im still waiting to see behemoth for the 1st time. Your a very lucky man. Some great kickass blackmetal their. FYI a good black metal band to see live is Dark Funeral. They are better than Dimmu Borgir live

. I was lucky enough to only have an elbow shoved up my ass when i saw them.

Okay, it was at a bar. I had this big idea about just getting a pic of their stage from a website and doing some assholishly-sarcastic photoshop tutorial with the moral being that death-metal concerts are dark and generally always shoot spot-lights at you, making pictures harder to decipher than UFO sightings. But they have no pictures of the stage on their website, so fuck it.
When I am at a concert I am in the mosh pit. Not only would my camera most likely have been lost there, but would have definitely been stolen when I got knocked out from an elbow to the back of the head.
I guess I could ask my friends for pics. I think they got a video on their cell phones...

ask your friends to hold it while you mosh. Then take a 5 minute break and take some pics, I got some absolutely badass pics at the Dark Funeral concert, partly becuase the crowd was pretty weak and the ridglea theatre is a very small venue. As long as you keep your shit together it won't get stolen. You'd be suprised how many honest metal-heads their are, just stay away from the loud drunk ones or beat the hell out of them with the rest of the crowd... your choice

I listen to most of the same music as larz and omega so I was wondering if either of you two (or anyone else) had listened to ParkWay Drive?
They are an australian hardcore/metal band that I saw at the Warped tour this past summer and they were pretty damn good.

They're not bad, but not my cup of tea. I really tend to favor Symphonic black metal like Cthonic, Dimmu Borgir, Emperor etc...
My favorite Australian band is "The Bezerker".

defintely. These guys are good. Their lead vocalist Galder is the lead guitarist for dimmu borgir.
His playing is much better in OMC than borgir
I have their vermin album
