Many of the clothes available in our high street shops have been manufactured in sweatshops, factories that routinely pay their workers less than the minimum wage, and prevent the formation of unions to campaign for better working conditions.
Sweatshop is a light-hearted game, but it’s based upon very present realities that many workers around the world contend with each day.
Littleloud and Channel 4 worked with experts on sweatshops to integrate some of these realities into the game design.
In addition, there are numerous facts and figures spread throughout the game, highlighting the plight of the workers who may well have made the clothes you are wearing today.
Read on for more information about the truths behind Sweatshop (with the relevant sources). Visit sites such as Labour Behind the Label, War On Want, Fairtade and No Sweat if you’d like to get involved in campaigns to improve the plight of workers around the globe.
i give no shits
The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State.

PROTIP: Try actually playing the game because I linked a game not an article.
I'm waiting for the "Hitler wasn't such a bad guy" post.

He did a lot for medical science. But seriously, how is that relevant?

Because you detract completely from the game and start to discuss channel 4 because it's mentioned in their little facts page. You seem to be defending sweatshops for seemingly no reason unless you are just trying to take things off-topic to take a shot at news channels. You can play through this entire game without being "forced" to learn anything. All of the facts are on the score screen after you finish a level. Of course you would not know that having never played the game.

I'm not defending sweatshops jesus, wasn't aware this was a super serious thread, I would play it, but I'm on my phone and being englisn, I am very familiar with channel 4, and their patronising and limp wristed approaches to issues like these.
