glouch Wrote:Jacob is the most generic character in ME2. The only thing going for him is that he's black, but otherwise I don't think it would be possible to create a more boring character. If I wanted perfect realism, then yeah he's the sort of person that would probably be on the crew of a spaceship. But he's hardly a compelling character in terms of the narrative. Games/movies/books/etc are allowed to take liberties with realism in order to create more interesting stories- and they should.

He was more interesting than Miranda.

I didnt like Dragon Age xD Oh well. Mass Effect 4 Life

lol are you serious? they might as well be the same game. same storyline, same gameplay, same everything

I'd say they were both on par in terms of how boring they were.

on some level all bioware games are the same. Still, the combat in dragon age is very different from the combat in mass effect.

And now that bioware doesnt give a shit about story and just want to rehash everything for a quick buck, combat is all we have.

I was talking more about how Mass Effect 2 was a GEARS OF WAR with haphazardly spliced in bits from love hina, but you know.

The fact that DA2 was an Gauntlet Legacy with updated graphics wasn't really the best solution.

Also lol@womb's chart. I guess you didn't know that Joseph Campbell wrote for bioware. We should add Adam and Eve, Aeneas
Alice in wonderland, Al-Khidr, Alex Rider, The American Monomyth, American Gods, Avatar:The Last Airbender, Avatar (2009 film), King Arthur, Batman, Beowulf, Berzerker Man, Gautama Buddha, Cold Mountain (novel), Cú Chulainn, The Dawn-Breakers, The Dark Tower (series), Deluge myth, Dionysus, Djanggawul, Elijah, Ender's Game, Enoch (son of Cain), Farmer Weathersky, Foundling-Bird, Gilgamesh, Glooscap, Gurren Lagann, Harry Potter, Hainuwele, Heracles, Hercules, The Hobbit, I Am Legend, InuYasha, Indiana Jones, Jason, Jesus Christ in comparative mythology, Joseph (Hebrew Bible), Kick Ass, Krishna, The Last Samurai, The Lion King, The Lord of the Rings, Lozi mythology, The Master Maid, The Matrix (franchise), Merlin, Monsters Inc, Muhammad, Mythopoeia (genre), The Neverending Story, Odin, Odysseus, Odyssey, Osiris, Percy Jackson, Popol Vuh, Poseidon, Prometheus, Quetzalcoatl, Ramayana, Rostam, Rocky, Siddhartha (novel), Sigurd, The Runelords, The Song of Roland, The Space Trilogy, Solomon, Spider-Man, Star Wars, Sundiata Keita, Superman, Theseus, Wall-E, The Water Nixie, Watership Down, X (manga), Xenogears, Yamato Takeru, and Zoroaster to the list. Not every rpg has to be completely 100% original to be good and/or fun.
