theres a demo available for it on both 360 and ps3. I downloaded that but havent tried it yet. Actually the penny-arcade comic today is about the game too.
Their suggestion though seems to be steer clear until service difficulties get fixed.

Well they have a PC version of course but I was hired to write specifically on the 360 version so... console it is!

Yea, I have a reviewer's code but haven't tried it yet either. With being only 2 days old, I'm expecting bugs and such but I don't know yet first-hand.

I was mulling over picking up 1943 in the fall(for the PC) but seeing how the servers are only 24 players, that would make for some pretty empty battlefields. Especially with vehicles. If you played the Titan maps in BF 2142, you would see where I'm coming from.

I installed the PS3 demo, it's only for 30 minutes, but Wake Island has changed quite a bit since BF1942. I can't aim with thumb joys, but flying around doing bombing runs was pretty fun. I'm tempted to buy it.

the 360 version is ok but i dont like the sniper the way the zoom works and how the reload action after the shot is horrible and when playing i felt like i was a toy soldier so i didnt like it much.
