Someone messaged me asking me to rep them, never traded with them
#1

A few days ago someone messaged me out of the blue, saying that he heard I was buying keys. I had been looking for keys, but made no thread on here saying that. I was just going through sellers trying to find someone that would sell to me (very little rep). I was cautious, and told him it would be a few days before I bought, thinking he would go away. He just messaged me through steam a few minutes ago asking me to rep him on this sight, and that he would owe me if I did so. He then entered his link for me. No way in hell am I clicking a link I did not solicit. Looking through his (very new) account, he has all new rep from very recently. (today) He has a few scammer friends according to steamrep. I am not sure what is going on here. In the rules it says I should only rep people I have made deals with on this site, and I have never made a trade with him anyway. I checked my trade history, nothing.

his steam name : KinaKen http://steamcommunity.com/id/TrainsFTW/

his rep thread on here, found through search, not his link :http://forums.sourceop.com/threads/13011...ht=KinaKen

I am new to trading and very new to this site myself, and have read almost all of the trade horror stories. This just seems shady. Not sure if he just wants to usurp the rules, or if he is looking to take money from someone. Could not ignore it after reading about the guy who collects craft #10s getting his account temporarily hijacked recently. (by clicking a link)

hey guy unless you lost at least $5000 in a trade you aren't allowed to make a thread

The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State.
