What sucks even more is that my account was hacked, and steam can't do anything to stop it. So i made a new one just to let you know. I'm not sure if im gonna get tf2 though or i might just use my frends account just so we're clear.

If your going to use a friends account make sure you remember that you ARE banned for now. Avoidance or Circumventing a ban is a very good way to be banned (again) with 0 chance of being unbanned. Atleast on my server...

how can't steam do anything about it, did they get your email and personal info, too?

usually when an account is hacked they can just reset the password and then the person who hacked it can't get in.

Honestly i don't doubt it that Steam can't do anything about it. Out of all the customer support teams/people I've EVER dealt with Steam is absolutely the worst. They really need to up their game on that but I doubt they ever will. I usually just get copy/pasted responses from them when i have a problem. I should probably start a new topic on this in the flame bucket sometime.

They've done quite well for me, they responded to me within a day and they even refunded a purchase I made a couple of weeks ago. But they said that was a one-time customer service gesture.
But a steam friend of mine got his account hijacked a couple of months ago and he got his account back within a couple of days.

My account got hijacked once. True story.

I logged in to hotmail at a best buy on a computer that was connected to wireless. Somebody must have been around sniffin packets. They got the hotmail password, logged into my account saw what types of services I was getting email from and changed the passwords on all of them.

In the end, they made off with nothing and were not victorious.

Fleffy's bad. I resent the fact that he ever used the name misterdevious jr.

I probably should have unfriended him long ago, but if I had, I wouldn't have experienced first hand the corruption of blak.reign.

Fleffy had been telling me about new glitches lately. I called them cheating, he insisted they were only glitches. Then he told me he learned of a glitch to crash servers, and that he had done it. I told him that wasn't cool.

A bit later that night, blak.reign sent me 3 messages: (paraphrased below)

1. Fleffy told me how to crash servers.
2. It's going to get laggy.
3. Are you lagging?

Soon there was massive lag, and the server went down.

I told Fleffy this was not cool. I unfriended Fleffy. I assume Fleffy told Blak.Reign what I'd done, and then blak sent me the message "LOL." I then unfriended blak.reign. I'm a very law and order kind of guy. I don't like cheaters, and messing with the server is worse.

I told Chaz (most serious regular that was on at that time, I wasn't sure if he was an admin or not) that I believed blak had just crashed the server because of the messages he sent and because of what fleffy had said. Then I logged off. It was late, I was pissed, and I was surprised blak would do that.

When i heard he was banned, I said it was too bad that he listened to that idiot fleffy.
