Great server btw its a blasty blast... but i do have a problem with the map Watchtower. In my opinion its not a very balanced map and it seems a good lot of players including myself have a dislike of it and the server population tends to fall when the map is running. I would like to propose moving it off of the rotation!

Yea, I've migrated to the arena server a while back and watchtower is pretty bad. For every 2 people that think the map is okay there are 12 people that hate it. If nothing else, shortening the mp_timelimit to 15 would help immensely. I usually leave halfway through nucleus and take a break because I know it's coming up next.
Oh, and welcome to the forums Visions.
You are a pretty good pyro.

Being able to vote skip the next map might work, like in the valve maps server. I think it works quite well. Unpopular maps will get skipped often, but won't be skipped if enough people actually want to play it.

What are you talking about, it's perfectly symmetrical.

It's unbalanced in terms of classes. Large, open spaces favor the sniper and scout.

I do like the map but I think a map veto thing similar to the Valve maps server is a good idea.

Maybe you could just write a detection for when the server population drops under a certain amount for two or three rounds, SOP control changes to the next map?
--edit--
nix that idea, no sense in an obscure fix such as this. Veto is probably best for the server.
Watchtower drained the server down to myself and four other people a few days ago but it picked right back up when it changed to badlands.

Yea watchtower is pretty bad in my opinion though I don't believe in removing it completely. I agree with the map veto like how the valve maps server is.

(first post here; thanks for the awesome server(s) Drunken Fool!)
I'm going to have to agree with Visions on this one. Watchtower is a horribly imbalanced map (class wise) and along with Nucleus, is a one-two-punch on the server pop.
Well, I say that... truth be told, I don't think the map is really all that imbalanced. I think many people would rather just complain about how the FaN is OP and how the Huntsman requires no skill. Sure, it's a huge map with lots of open area, but it's far from a Sniper/Scout heaven. For a sniper, all of your good sniping spots leave you very vulnerable both to enemy Snipers, Scouts and Spies. For the Scout, you can get around the map quickly, but you are always exactly where a Scout should never be -- in the open. That and the CP is placed such that both of those classes have a tough time sealing the deal.
Just my $0.02, I guess.
Maybe a better solution would be to change the order of the rotation? Keep Nucleus and Watchtower as far apart as possible.
