so wait how much longer? hl2dm is slowly dying. The average number of people playing hl2dm has decreased a lot since last year. Worldwide, there used to be more than 1200 people playing hl2dm at any given time, but now, there's only 800. This number is only an estimate and it can change depends on the situation and time but if this decrease continues for several months or even a year, there will be nobody left to play this game just like the original half life deathmatch. There's only 20 servers left for this game. So now, people like DF need to comes up with a good mod and it will revive hl2dm. Pure deathmatch in hl2dm can be fun, but it's even more fun to hook, jetpack, and do a lot of cool things with sourceop. I believe DF also made this mod for css, but in my opinion, this mod works the best and people like it the most when it's used on hl2dm servers. sourceop on a css server is just a bizarre concept by the way.
and what's wrong with a buggy version? people discover bugs and they report and the creator of the mod make it better and better, fixing problems. I rather play on a buggy mod than a no mod.
