Rostov Wrote:I remember reading an article in Playboy many years ago(yes, I do read the ARTICLES in Playboy once in a while)entitled the unofficial dealing with police. I won't go into all the details, but depending on how rushed you are, it is in YOUR BEST INTEREST not to piss off/act like an asshole around cops/law enforcement. You do not have access to the information that cops might have. They may be just pricks or they may be searching for a wanted criminal and they do have to check out the area and everyone around(but they don't need to tell you that).
The article DID go on to say that you should keep track of everything that is said/done and if a violation of rights occurs, go into a lawyer and deal with it that route. If a judge determines that a violation did occur, then the offending officer will be formally reprimanded. Similar to a front line in a warzone, you have a job to do and not time to quibble over every law that comes up. The time for recriminations comes later. The system >IS< supposed to weed out particularly bad officers who continually violate rights and freedoms. Remember your right and exercise them, but arguing with an officer in the line of duty is just going to piss them off and they will treat you more harshly.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.
As for the whole all speak after the match ends, GREAT IDEA!
Definitely for it, please implement DF!

Did what hes doing? Being obnoxious and harassing law enforcement?
At what point wasn't he being suspicious, and at what point was he detained?

I guess you are for a police state where you have no real personal freedom? If a police officer were to walk up to you on the sidewalk and begin questioning your citizenship, would you feel the same way? (Godwin's Law inc.)

It's an easy enough request. I should probably go ahead and do it.
