The author sent that to me on Tuesday. I like his point about the website/forums sucking shit. Any thoughts/suggestions?

i could see where it would be a little confusing to most, but i don't think it should be spread out as much as it should be combined, i mean basically there are 3 general discussion boards and 2 primary support boards, i know they are supposed to be used for different purposes, but is it all that necessary with a community this size? I mean basically there is no more than a few new threads each day if that. Maybe just combine all the General Chats wouldn't be such a bad idea at least until you get enough members to where it really matters.

I think I understand the idea you had with the forum layout:

SourceOP being the section for the SourceOP plugin itself,
Misc. being for the Hell-met bot to /dev/random fortunes,
SourceOP Server being for the servers we play on.

Maybe consolidating those 3 into one section would clear some confusion.

Also the theme is a little fugly. :o

I think the forums are fine. The look is clean and simple. I don't want to be bombarded with eye candy every time I log in to check the forums.

The sections are clear and simple. Talk about the plug-in, misc stuff or about the server itself. That's not hard, it's simple.

As for not having active members, that's crap. There's either a reply or a new post every day. Almost always there's more then one. The community's fine.

PROOF! this board is setup to have about 150-200 active reguarly posting members and doesn't have any more than 25 i couldn't imagine. I doubt it will ever get a whole lot of members until SourceOP is actually released. I agree there shouldn't be a bunch of eye candy and i think the design is fine as it is, but the forum layout could use some work until there are more (as in quantity) active members.

Arena is the sh*t. Glad this guy knows this as well. Though yes sometimes of the day (or night) it can get filled with micspammers and shit i've seen but on the good times of the day or night it's awesome, but i'll still keep close eye on those 12 year old attention whores.

I think that just by routing people to the forums he is increasing our E-peen, simply because we have our own section...
