I'm just glad that this will most likely fix the random lag that's been on 2fort no mods server, since it's my new home.

Although I can't rule out other factors, this server change has cut my lag in half. Spikes of lag are much shorter and less severe. I'm pretty sure any lag I'm getting now is on my end. A few tracert's seem to bear this out as well.
My actual latency dropped about 15-20 ms. This is still as much as 3-4x the latency shown on the scoreboard, which I still can't figure out.

Figured I would post this here since it is about 2fort nod mods server and this thread is already stickied. The server has become unplayable, within the past few weeks the lag on the server is causing a lot of the regulars to leave. The server gets these spikes of lag that everyone on the server complains about every 5 to 10 minutes. I don't know if the server just needs to be reset or if it's an issue with the box it's on but the server is becoming harder to play on.

Yeah, the lag's pretty awful now. The worst it's ever been in the three+ years I've been hanging out in 2Fort nomods nobs. And the spikes are almost amusing since half of the team's bitchin' over vox the instant it happens (and blows whatever coordination you had going)
And it's near impossible to find a competitive 2Fort server without superfluous ridiculous server crap.

It isnt stickied and you may have confused people into thinking that the server address has changed again by bringing this topic back to the top. Great job.
You should have made a new thread as your post is unrelated to the topic of this thread. That would be like me wanting to discuss someone that should be banned from no mods and putting it in here because 'it is about 2fort nod mods'.
Not trying to be an asshole about it, but my first instinct was 'oh, gotta change that in my server list when i get home' - glad I went into the thread...
Here is a related thread in the 'SOp Server -Problems/Help' section:

Actually this thread was stickied when I posted in it at the time, also there was no thread in the problems and help section and I decided not to create a new one since this one was stickied.

I get it. There is a problem, but instead of posting it where problems go, you attach it to an unrelated sticky to get more attention. I was simply pointing out that you shouldnt have in my opinion. Its not the worst thing done on these forums, but I felt it needed a call out due to the possible confusion.
That aside, I really dont care. But if you want to keep defending it like you were justified, we can...otherwise, see you in game (you pop onto insta once in a while)
