I'm GayBowser, a frequent player of the 24/7 2fort server. Me and my friends Potato King THE OG and Gamin' constantly play on the server, to the point where it's the main way that we play tf2. Well, today my friend Gamin' was doing one of his typical jokes, but due to his bad microphone his voice had a bit too much gain and it sounded like he was micspamming. Despite being a good member of the server who reports hackers and is friends with many other frequenters, he was permbanned with no warning. My other friend Potato King THE OG was subsequently banned for asking the mod to unban Gamin'. Many other people in the server were also on their side, but to no avail. I decided that the only productive way to remedy this situation was to go to the forums as per recommendation.

Is there any way their ban could be lessened? Possibly a day, or even a week? It's just that this server was the way we still bonded during quarantine, and it's very upsetting that this occured. Thank you for your time Smile

This situation took place in the SourceOP Instant Respawn 2Fort server on 4/10/20 at 2:01 EDT/11:01 PST.
I was rightfully banned for 14 days for the reasoning of "flooding chat" after I unknowingly spammed my "Uber used" bind while playing Medic.
The ban was placed by Administrator 'Butane', which was an appropriate response to my inappropriate use of chat.
I would like to give some clarity and perhaps 'clear the air' if you will, in regards as to why I flooded my team chat in the first place.
While I play Team Fortress 2, I frequent myself in a mixture of community 2Fort servers and competitive matches. For such competitive matches, I use websites/programs such as TF2Center, RGL.GG, FaceIt, etc. As a competitive player, I frequently attempt to void my game of any possible distractions, apparent through my custom folder being full of .vpks that remove certain particles/skins and my config files being full .cfg text-files that reduce the games graphics down to a minimum.

With my attempts in making the game look as simplistic and "non-distracting" as possible, I took advantage of the "hud_saytext_time" command within my autoexec.cfg in order to have a transparent chat. While the chat is fully functional, it only actually appears upon me selecting the 'y' button, which promptly causes the chat window to open up, where I can type, scroll up/down, etc. Due to my usage of hud_saytext_time being set to 0, while I walk around and play the game, the chat box is not on my screen what so ever. My 'y' key acts as a toggle of sorts; I'm only able to read the chat upon clicking 'y'. This is what caused the mishap.
Due to me using the Vaccinator and having 4 uber charges, a medic 'Uber used' bind, and chat invisible unless manually clicking 'y', I was unknowingly spamming the chat with my idiotic bind. Additionally, it's not as if my 'Uber used' text-chat-bind was short, it was around the length of an entire sentence.
Every time I would pop one of the four available ubers or spam MOUSE 2, I would unknowingly send multiple binds into my team chat. This resulted in a flooding, and a ban, which followed after people asking me to stop and Butane warning me, which I did not at all see.

People, prior, have expressed to me their frustration with spamming the chat in MVM, in which normally I would simply apologize and the player(s) and I would move on.
This, however, is something I cannot simply apologize to the players for having to endure.
It is completely and utterly my fault. Regardless of my own chat being on/off, it's completely my mess-up. Not only did others ask me to stop, Butane had warned me. I should have known with pure-certainty that I would be spamming the chat with my bind. Additionally, I should have known that disabling chat in the first place in-itself would cause an issue to arise, and now I whole-heatedly know what I did. I genuinely accept the fact that I made this mistake, and I promise I will not flood the chat ever again. Not only have I turned the chat back on by setting hud_saytext_time to its default value of 12, I have shortened my 'Uber used' bind to simply... 'uber used', which is what it should have been before.
I will, 100%, make sure this mistake does not happen again. I will be more attentive to how I treat the chat within not just the SourceOP servers, but in other game servers, and I hope that my genuine admittance to this issue is taken with consideration.

Annnnd he bans me for 7 days. What?

So this one comment warrants me being banned for a whole week? No warning, no gag, no kick, nothing. It wasn't a personal attack on him in any form, nor instigation. Just instantly banned.
To provide some context, a few months ago Harrylerman once was trying to cap the intel in a game and I was on the other team. I kept killing him, so he joins spectator and starts saying "ALL YOU DO IS SIT IN SPAWN AND CAMP. THIS IS THE STATE OF TF2 IN 2020," and other comments of that nature. This went on for a few minutes and was really irritating for me, so I was arguing with him in chat until he stopped. Note that he was not an admin at this time.

So I'm also a bit suspicious that this ban was charged by personal resentment towards me and wanted to get back at me months later, which would explain the severity of the ban.

So the teams got scrambled, the map votes stopped also and i started playing regularly until i was questioned by a admin later on. I didn't quite explain myself right on why i put that scramble vote, and i was banned from the server. This is why i am typing this to explain myself better than what i said last night to the admin. i suspect hes bringing friends from places like discord and skype or teamspeak because he has no steam friends i suspect he is bringing these friend to prevent players from votekicking
this guy acts like a total asshole he taunts after each kill and shit talks so he is very toxic and should get banned

My therapist demands that I receive an apology, a HOUWAR with hearts circling it, my student loan debt forgiven, and Butane's job. It's 2019.

Description of Event: iv been watching this user for a week first time he was using fake lag/aimbot/wallhacks convincing other players he was in Australia
all while hitting ambi headshots like crazy and now hes back and still cheating he played as a demo and he is not lagging like he said he was and he is still using
walls/aimbot/triggerbot etc

I was playing on the TF2 SourceOP 2Fort server and was gagged whilst doing a conga line, got down to the intel and tried to type because someone ruined the conga line and it said I was gagged, about ten seconds later I was permabanned for racism. How could I have said anything racist if I was gagged? In the rules, it also says that a racism ban lasts for a week the first time, as far as I know ive never been banned for racism on the server before. I ask that the ban be lifted and that I am allowed to play on the server.
