I really like the 24/7 2fort server, but there is starting to be a big issue with people showing up that are using hacks. Particularly snipers, demos and soldiers. It's blatantly obvious who uses them, as their score is usually 2-3x that of what the guys in 2nd place is. Yes, i know there are some players that are just good and that's fine. But the problem with the ones i'm writing about is that they very rarely die. They go charging alone into the other base, kill 10 people then walk out without a scratch. They'l repeat this a few times, then maybe someone will get lucky and kill them. Demomen run in lay mines then run away outside of LOS. Then when theres 3 guys running over his mines he blows them. Without any legit way at all of knowing there was anybody on top of them. It's getting to the point that theres at least one, if not 2 people at almost any time that's using wall hacking or a combination of it with other things like the sniper enhancements. There are never any admins on and as far as i know, there is no way to get rid of these people that rampage the server and really diminish the experience for everyone else.

I'm sorry. Most of these cases I investigate are legit players. One guy I checked out was indeed wallhacking on 2fort using snipers. He would follow people behind a wall and then poke out and shoot them.
I don't really ban unless its really obvious. Add me on AIM or Steam friends if you want to contact me next time you see something like this.

There was a Derrik guy today, forget his clan tag but it was quite obvious. At least half the team thought something was going on. There are good players that top the boards like K-Y, but he dies like anyone else. Such is not the case with some of the others.

hax are actually pretty rare, i mean theres a lot out there and there easy to get your hands on, but few people are actually sadistic enough to use them
one of the main problems in this game is that people don't understand how it works, see when you try to make a real time experience with people all over the world theres going to be problems, and one of the biggest is that what you see happening and someone else sees happening aren't always the same, the difference in the time one receives a signal is very important, and the difference can be extreme
this can cause such effects as one appearing to shoot or see threw a wall, or even someone who would appear not to be getting hit while your shooting at them
others can be explained by one underestimating another's intelligence, like the case of the wall hacking demo-man could just be boiled down to good timing and luck

I know the guy he's talking about on the 24/7 2fort server. He has had a number of very lucky Remote Pipe kills, some of which made me question if he was using custom content to wall hack.
I was just curious, are the servers running sv_pure 1?
I was guessing not due to the hlstatsx stuff.

The only person I've seen cheating on sourceop was this one guy a long time ago who would get under the ground on EVERY MAP (not just that one exploit spot in gravel pit everyone knew about). He was really obvious about it.
Past that everything looks legit to me... well, I still don't see how some of the things xcstacy does as sniper are humanly possible, but he rarely plays sniper anymore
