Keep the move speed as it's meant for retreating and remove the damage buff so the weapon can function as it should. At no time should a melee weapon be able to instakill people without a crit.

Guys I made a video with a compilation of all my good sniper rifle kills. Sniper rifle is OP.

Except there's no other weapon to compare the rifle with.

Maybe huntsman and ambassador, which both have their own advantages over it.

Equalizer has the entire melee arsenal in the game to compete against.

Note: Soldier is my second most played class, and I believe (for pub play) that the equalizer is aptly named. It really levels the playing field for the soldier, who arguably had the crappiest melee weapon otherwise.

My biggest issue with the equalizer comes when someone with over 200 ping uses it. Since hit detection against them is already shitty, you'll lose a lot of melee fights with them. Really this is the same as the problem with facing off vs a demoknight with 200+ ping.

Yea but this is old Hell-met. I've known since the item became available and during the first couple of uses in game it was the best melee weapon made so far besides the ubersaw. I've easily gotten 5 kills in a row more than twice already with the thing. Though this is just in pubs of course. This video is great, I am going to use it as my featured video on my YouTube page for a bit.
